First Grade Grand Final: Wests victorious over Nedlands by 15-14.

With this victory we accomplished our fourth consecutive Premiership and equalled the Rugby WA record by any club.

To do this from fourth position and drill three great results in consecutive weeks against Associates (semi-final 35-22) and Palmyra (preliminary final 22-21) plus the big one over Nedlands was superb.

Coach Tony Ladbrook and his tight management staff of Colt Cowley, Al Ruddel and Bill Hunt did wonderful job supporting this great group of players. Also thanks to Physios Courtney and Martin.

To Managers: A big job done well by all our team managers. The players especially say thanks to you guys team managers are an integral part of the club and within these ranks we have characters abounding.

WEST'S 1ST GRADE MAKE IT FOUR IN A ROW

Our modern and spacious clubrooms and extensive grounds are situated on Rosalie Park, corner of Onslow Road and Thomas Street in Shenton Park, Subiaco. The picture above shows our Premier Grade side after winning their fourth consecutive Major Premiership in 2006. The club boasts 4 senior Men’s teams, Colts (Under 19) and Golden Oldies team. Training every Tuesday and Thursday nights starting at 6.00 pm for the senior sides. There is also a Junior Club that fields teams in age groups under 7 to under 17.

Our logo is a "Heraldic Boars Head" and is described as "a fierce combatant when at bay, and only ceases fighting when its life is taken" this could adequately describe the attitude of Wests Subiaco Rugby Club.
